M.G. Newell is pleased to announce that Kennon Hydock has joined the company as a Senior Control Systems Engineer for their Greensboro Division. In this position, Kennon will report to John DeBruin, Greensboro Controls Engineering Manager. Kennon brings over 10 years of controls and automation engineering experience in the pharmaceutical industry to M.G. Newell.  Previously, Kennon worked for CSL Seqirus for 3 years.   In this role, he was Principal Automation Engineer at CSL’s Holly Springs facility working with manufacturing infrastructure systems and networks. Prior to that, Kennon worked as an automation consultant with Horizon Controls group and a Rockwell system integrator with NNE. Kennon has a B.S. in Microbiology from the University of South Florida.






M.G. Newell is pleased to announce that Raymond Bennett has joined the company as a Control Systems Engineer for their Greensboro Division. In this position, Raymond will report to John DeBruin, Greensboro Controls Engineering Manager. Raymond brings experience in controls and automation with a focus on machine vision and robotics.  Previously, Raymond worked for Tellus Products for 2 years.  In this role, he was a Controls Engineer tasked with overseeing their entire production facility including their packaging line.  Prior to that, he has worked for the City of Panama City Beach and was attached to various projects around Panama City, FL. Raymond has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Florida State University.

SFPA BOARD MEETS IN GREENSBORO. LOOKS AHEAD TO 2024 CONVENTION.

On March 21st, MG Newell’s Gray Sherrill hosted SFPA board members to the company’s Greensboro, NC facility for a recap of the association’s 2023 convention and to look ahead at the upcoming convention in Charleston, SC.

M.G. Newell continues to grow!   We've purchased a new building at the corner of Cessna Drive and Gallimore Dairy Road in Greensboro.  After some remodeling work, the Greensboro Division engineers and sales team will be moving to this location.

Corporate associates will remain at our current location on Citation Court.

We are proud to announce that Lamar Atwood has been certified as a Level 1 CCST.

ISA's Certified Control System Technician® (CCST®) Program provides a non-biased, third-party, objective assessment and confirmation of a technician's skills. CCSTs are skilled in pneumatic, mechanical, and electronic instrumentation. They understand process control loops and process control systems, including computer based systems.

ISA's three levels of CCST certification require differing degrees of technical experience, education, and training with CCST Level 3 requiring the most.
